We honor Dr. King for many reasons: his wisdom, his courage, his message of love, and his leadership. His leadership was proven by his ability to bring people together in times when everything was so divided. So, as a community let us reflect on his message and make sure we carry it into the future to teach our youth that we are stronger together rather than divided.
In the Bible you will find a verse that reads:
Matthew, 12:25: “And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.”
Let us not be divided, let’s stand as one!
