Main Street Collision Temporary Road Closure

On Thursday, Dec. 17th at 11:38am a three-vehicle motor vehicle accident occurred on Main Street in front of the Laurel County Courthouse. The roadway will be temporarily closed. Assisting on scene include London–Laurel Rescue Squad, Ambulance Inc. of Laurel Co., and the London Police Department.

Traffic Shift to Occur on Interstate 75 in Laurel County Beginning Monday, Dec. 14

Motorists advised to pay close attention to work zone signage

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that starting Monday night, Dec. 14, southbound I-75 only traffic will be shifted from the current driving lanes onto the newly constructed lanes between mile points 48 to 41.

Motorists are advised to pay close attention to signage and are reminded that speed limits are currently reduced along I-75 to 55 mph.

The date of the traffic shift may be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseeable delays.

Saturday Brief Road Closure on Dixie Street

Due to the London Fire Department’s Brown Bag Giveaway event in partnership with Kentucky State Police Post 11, West Dixie Street will be closed from the Farmer’s Market to West 1st Street between the hours of 9:30am to 1pm. All other traffic please divert through West 1st Street.

Visitors for the Brown Bag Giveaway are requested to please enter through Carter Street to 911 Fire Rescue Drive. Drive through the London Fire Department’s bay doors. Exit by turning left onto West Dixie Street.
